Achievement Journal (formerly Technology Greatness Journal) is an iPhone app published by Gordon Liang (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It is a journaling app: your days are matched with the time it took for humans to do great things, so you can stay inspired. Some days show a real accomplishment (for example, Mariner 9 after 168 days). Other days are blank pages with no title or description.
Everything you write and everything you tell the app stays on your iPhone. There is no account, no server, and no cloud service behind this app. We cannot read your journal entries.
Achievement Journal stores the following on your device:
This version of the app does not ask for your name or age range, does not schedule notifications, and does not include a subscription. Prior journaling frequency, when provided, is used only to personalize onboarding wording on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere.
The information above is used only to run the app on your device: to build your journal prompt from the wording you entered, and to display your galleries (including blank days and accomplishment pages).
It is not used for advertising, profiling, tracking, or machine-learning training. We do not sell, rent, license, or share it, because we never receive it.
All app data is stored locally on your iPhone using iOS’s standard app preference storage and the app’s own container, protected by iOS data protection and your device passcode.
Achievement Journal has no user accounts, no backend server, no cloud sync, and no iCloud sync of journal content by the app. Nothing you write is uploaded to us or to anyone else. Device backups managed by Apple may include app data according to your iPhone backup settings.
This version of Achievement Journal does not use notifications. No push token or device identifier is transmitted to us.
Apple is the only third party involved in distributing the app through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment-card, billing, or Apple Account details. Apple may provide us with aggregated sales information that does not identify you and never includes your journal content.
Achievement Journal contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. It does not use cookies or any form of web tracking. We do not sell or share personal information.
The app has no sharing features, no export, and no social features. Your journal entries stay in the app on your device.
Achievement Journal is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Because all information stays on the device, a parent or guardian can remove everything the app has stored by deleting the app.
Your entries and galleries are kept on your device indefinitely so that you can return to them. The app does not expire or automatically remove anything.
You control deletion:
Because we never receive your information, we hold no copy of it and cannot retrieve or delete it for you.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information.
Everything Achievement Journal stores about you is on your own device, where you can read it, edit it, and delete it directly. We cannot provide, correct, or delete information that we do not receive and do not hold.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We retain that information only as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate business records.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top.
If we materially change how information is collected, used, or stored — for example, if a future version adds sync, notifications, subscriptions, or any other off-device feature — we will provide notice in the app before the change takes effect.
